Before Hunting- Call:
Local Police/State Police/Landowner/Game Commission
(I am in "stealth" mode when I hunt, and sneak in and out of my stands as much as I can. Sometimes a landowner would like a phone call if you are going to come over and hunt their property just so they know you will be showing up on a given night. Same thing for local/state police. We had an incident where a dispatcher did not give my proper callback number to the 4-12 shift so I could tell them I was going to hunt a certain property, and after we shot a coyote, the neighbors called to report several gunshots. Needless to say, we were checked out thoroughly because the locals (AND their police dog) showed up and thought we were poaching deer. It all worked out, and it was the first time these guys ever saw a coyote, so they got an education as well..............
